"I spent an amazing year in Pennsylvania!"

Johannes, the fifth child in our family, came one year ago, nervous about his English, but curious about every aspect of life and high school in America. His friendships and travels through choir trips really shaped his year.  He also became active in our church youth group and joined them on a retreat in the winter.  He attended our niece's wedding in Wisconsin, made multiple trips into New York City and Washington, D.C., took part in a multi-day Christmas gathering in our home, hauled wood for the woodstove, made friends with our dog, etc., etc.  He fit here beautifully with our family and community, and we look forward to having him return (host family report)
